Job Title: ICU/PCU Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
The ICU/PCU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings. They will monitor and assess patients, administer medications, collaborate with healthcare team members, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patients in the ICU and PCU settings
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
4. Provide emotional support to patients and their families
5. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
6. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
7. Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition
8. Assist with procedures and emergency interventions as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU or PCU settings
3. BLS and ACLS certification
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
6. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
